Ragged Beanie

So if you follow me on Twitter then you will not only know of my recent purchased of this gorgeous New Look tartan skirt(or as they describe it, checked skirt) but also that I promised to do a 'how I'd style it post' asap using some items I purchased recently. So today I've sat down to do this post obviously so enthralled by the purchase of the skirt that I couldn't wait until it actually landed on my doorstep to style it up! However I've been having a few technical difficulties, what with dog sitting at my mums and them having stupid 'child guard' on their computer (Jeez mum I'm 22 surely I should be trusted to not meet creepy strangers by now!) So Que my 'fantasy' how I'd style using more high-end (wish I could win the lottery) versions of my Ebay bargains which I will link below!

Now tartan is set to be huge this AW with everyone from Moschino  to Primark (check out their awesome AW13 campaign here) featuring it heavily in their new collections. And lets face it if Primark is copying it then it is definitely going to be a trend! Big up the Primark love!

Anyway continuing with normality, this autumn winter it's all about 'the rebel' (anybody else instantly start singing a bit of Bowie then? just me?) with tartan, leather, PVC and chains featuring heavily throughout the catwalks. And with that in mind I just had to pair this skirt with this stunning Ragged priest cut out, leather jacket and 'iconic' Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane's.

Let me know how you'd have styled this skirt for AW in the comments below! Go on inspire me ready for it's arrival. Now before I end this post I have to give two shout outs one to my pops for purchasing me these amazing Coltrane 'dupes' from Ebay but also to Black Cat for re-stocking this incredible pentagram choker (in velvet too)  and making me the happiest girl ever! Keep your little eyes peeled for a post about it soon, if i ever take it off that is!

Vickie
