So recently I noticed that I have been back in the very good (blog wise, if not slightly egotistical) habit of posting almost daily ootd pictures on my Instagram so I though, why not compile a weeks worth into today's post for you all. Now most of these outfits are what I wore to work (I work in fashion retail so can go kinda casual) apart from today's outfit (outfit 1) that I wore to an interview, I'm becoming a pro at dressing for an interview! Let me know if you'd like an entire post on dressing for a job interview/work.

Also let me know which is your favourite look out of all of this weeks outfits in the comments below and I will do an ootd post recreating that look from make-up to clothing in the next week. Also don't forget to check back very soon as I have been compiling goodies for my giveaway that should be live any day now. Sorry for the mega quick post guys, promise I will be back again tomorrow. Until then.

How I'd Style- Topshop Mom Jeans

Long time no see my sweets. (p.s. how much do I sound like the Wicked Witch of the West...Go Elphy!)

How I'd style Mom Jeans

Floral & Tartan Bomber Jacket- SheInside
Acid Wash Mom Jeans- Topshop
Coltrane Dupes- Lavish Alice
Lipstick in Called Up- Topshop
Nails in Mystic- Topshop
Black Leather Backpack- Asos (similar)

Let me start by saying that I hope you don't mind me posting another 'how I'd style' so soon I've been pretty busy this week with work but I really wanted to get a post up for you all.  Now if you follow me on Twitter then you may have noticed that I have been lusting my pants off for the Topshop acid wash mom jeans for what seems like a lifetime. Then a few days ago a girl came into my work wearing said mom jeans and I'm not going to lie I literally fan girled, over a pair of jeans yep it happened I'm not sorry I am only gutted that I do not own my own pair.

That being said I have been planning and plotting these past few weeks to try and find a way to make these babies mine. Which means that of course I have also been planning and plotting Ways to wear them in an attempt to make myself feel less guilty about spending my hard earned money. Now let me warn you that this post includes a lot of me spending that hard earned cash with a few little gems.

Sticking with the 80's feel given by the stunning silhouette i decided to pair them with this awesome floral bomber jacket with tartan trim (we all know I love a bit of tartan) that I spotted whilst browsing the Sheinside sale. Can we all just take this moment to confess our love for this amazing, amazing piece. Now because this jacket is quite busy what with the clashing print and baggier fit I decided to add a more fitted aspect on my top half to balance this out in the form of this stunning cold shoulder polo crop from Miss Selfridge. And to top it off of course I had to pop on some chunky cut out boots and  I can now tell you that I am now the proud owner of the New Look Coltrane dupes wooooo! (be prepared for many an ootd featuring these babies). I decided to keep my accessories simple as to not clash with the already rather loud elements.

So there you have it just one short, sweet and super casual way that I would style mom jeans. I hope you enjoyed. Let me know in the comments what you think of the mom jean trend and how you'd style them. Now someone point me in the direction of Topshop!

P.S Don't forget to click that follow/Bloglovin button to keep up to date with future posts. (well I just had to throw a cheeky memo in there).

25 September 2013

Hello my lovelies.

Today I was back at work and seen as I'm still rather new and working in fashion retail I thought I should probably make a bit of an effort. I also wanted to style up this amazing Miss Behaver velvet skater skirt I recently won via Twitter (woo woo) for you all, so I thought why not kill two birds with one stone and have a jolly old time of it cooking up another OOTD post for you all.  And that ladies and gentleman is just what I did so prepare, grab a cup of tea, blast out some music and follow me as I delve into the world of Mr.T/ Kat from Eastenders/ indie space warrior (OK I got a little carried away).

Now if you follow me on Instagram or Twitter (both stonesgotstyle) then you may have seen that I posted the above very nicely filtered selfie of today's outfit. You may have also read in the description box that although I was wrapping up in AW colours and fabrics I was flat out refusing to let SS go completely (well just for a little bit longer) with this stunning snake print kimono from Oh My Love that I managed to nab a while back from the Topshop sale with free shipping, booyah love a good bargain!

Kimono- Oh My Love via Topshop (sale)
High Kneck Crop- Topshop
Velvet Skater Skirt- Miss Behaver
Earrings- Republic (sale)
Belt- Primark (sale)
Studded Creepers- New Look (now in sale, still available in store)
Lipstick- Nivea Pure Diamond shade 66 Mauve Parure

Now may I just ask, who else is loving my attempted model 'pose' I can't help but feel that Tyra's going to pop out any second now and tell me something about squinting my eyes to seem sexy (don't say I never do anything for you, that's worth a few laughs). Anyway my weird sudden urge to be a model aside let me talk you through today's outfit. So as I mentioned earlier I was determined to wear this velvet beauty and of course being me I knew that I would have to pair it with a crop (it's a weakness, crop tops are my kyrptonite...ooooh can we get that put on a crop). I decided on my trusty high neck version from the great and powerful Topshop, now you all know that I have a weakness for purple it is about the only colour that I really wear apart from black (OK blacks not a colour but when you wear it as often as me you have to describe it as one) therefore I really wanted to pick up on the purple of my top with this Oh My Love kimono. I felt the outfit really needed the pop of colour to of set the entirely black bottom half, well we can't look like Mortica Adams all the time!

I decided to add gold accents with my 'chav' hoops and studded Primark waist belt to add a bit of interest to the look as well as you guessed it a purple lip, I just couldn't resist. I then shoved on my super comfy studded creepers which are literally my only pair of shoes ATM until I can afford some cut out boots, mt leather jacket and 'Vickie' Satchel which I cannot stop wearing! Now can we all just take a second to appreciate my hair, yep I was running late and thought why not do a half up half down hairstyle to keep my hair out my face. Good idea until I made my ponytail too high and started having flash backs to when I did 'The King and I' (good times) with it being too late to correct this mistake I decided to rock it and actually I kinda love it now, I felt like a who!

And there you have it guys today's MR.T/Who/King of I themed OOTD. Who said dressing for work couldn't be fun hey! Let me know what you think to the outfit and the hair ;) in the comments below. Have you embraced AW yet or are you still grasping at those last rays of summer?

Is There Life on Mars

Good evening my loves.

Is their life on Mars

Liquid Silver Maxi Skirt- Topshop
Paint Floral Shirt- Topshop
Black Faux Fur Collar Biker Gilet- River Island
Black Chunky Strap Block Sandal- River Island
Black Curved Brim Bowler Hat- Fashion Union
Glam Grunge Collar- Miss Selfridge
Nails in Mystic- Topshop
Lips in Called Up- Topshop
So I'm back again with more insanely lust worthy items for you all to join me in druelling over since I am literally poor, poor, poor ATM. Oh well a girl can dream hey and is there really any better way to dream then creating awesome AW ready outfits with the items you can't afford?

Today is time for this stunning metallic maxi skirt from Topshop to have a whirl at creating outfit magic. Now this skirt (and let's face it actually this entire outfit) might not be to everyones taste however as soon as I saw it I just knew it had to be mine. Perfect for those upcoming Christmas parties as much as  for a trip to the shops this baby is incredibly versatile.

Today I wanted to show a more 'casual' day look as I just know that as soon as anyone see's this skirt they will instantly (like me) think 'occasionwear' and me well on closer inspection I just didn't see it that way. And then I saw this insanely, beautiful boxy floral shirt in these stunning burgundy/purple tones. Now it just made perfect sense that these two pieces needed to be together but the question now was how can I incorporate these into one and add warm and interest for a chilly autumn/winter night?

The answer to my question was these chunky sandals that I have officially been longing for since first spotting them in the window of my local River Island. Now you all know of my preference for a chunky shoe and I personally love the way they look against a slinkier silhouette to add a touch of the unexpected and dare I say it 'grunge'. I finished it all off with a autumn/winter appropriate combo of fur trimmed gilet and bowler hat to stay snug as a bug in a rug.  And of course with open toe sandals you have to have a matching lip and nail combo! To complement the stunning colours running through the shirt I decided on these plum toned lovelies from you guessed it...Topshop (I just can't get enough ATM).

So there you have it, how I'd style this amazing metallic maxi. Let me know how you'd style it in the comments below I would love to know.

Lavish Alice Wishlist / Blogger Comp

Why Hello there.

Lavish Alice Wishlist 2
Lavish Alice WishList 1

Hello Lovelies, So I am back again, so soon I hear you ask? Well yes I've decided to keep my promise of posting regularly again..wooohoo! And so as you see this has involved a lot of 'window' shopping (ah I crack my self up, Window...windows? Computers, I've been Internet browsing? Nope..just me? Well this is embarrassing). The main source of this 'window' shopping being spent on Lavish Alice. Can I just say how the hell has it taken me so long to discover this little haven of goodness? Safe to say this is now firmly at the top of my Internet favs!

So I posted a few weeks ago about how I'd style the Red PVC Skater Dress (which I will try not to bore you again with my gushing over it's perfection) and ever since I have been falling hard for all their latest items via Twitter, Instagram and of course their amazing website (it's become a problem). And if that wasn't dangerous enough...they just started doing shoes! Now you know I love a good pair of shoes however it doesn't just stop there...they made Coltrane dupes to rival even the (sold out everywhere)New Look pair! And with my eBay cut out boots still not having arrived (yep ladies and gents I may have been scammed, please be safe whilst browsing eBay)getting a pair of decent Coltrane dupes that won't blow the small amount of money in my bank account has become my number one objective.

If you haven't already realised this AW I have become obsessed with PVC, PU and let's face it anything that looks like it could be used as a prop in the upcoming 50 Shades of Grey film (anybody else outraged by the horrific miscasting?). This stunning snake print PU skater skirt is just perfection. I am loving the autumnal colour palette, perfect for my tendency to wear a red lip. I can imagine this with the red silk crop and some killer heels for a night out or a jumper, tights and boots (the cut out boots if I get my own way) for a cosy Autumn day.

So of course I also had to add another one of those 'blogger Musthave' items in the form of this amazing tiger face print dungaree jumpsuit which has been spotted on many a famous face in the blogosphere as well as an actual famous face in the form of Fearne Cotton. Again this piece is a wardrobe essential this AW and can easily be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Also how stunning would this monochrome beauty be with the equally beautiful black suede and white rubber soled boots.

Now I could go on forever about each and every item on my wish list however I would probably be sat here waffling on forever and you, well you guys would be bored to tears, praying to the God's for it to end. So my lovely friends this is where I leave you, until next time. I certainly hope that you enjoyed this wish list, let me know what your favourite store is down below and maybe I will do a wish list on them too. Also let me know in the comments what your favourite item or items are, we like to be greedy here!

Liked this post? Check out my Motel Rocks and Daisy Street Wish lists.

Hello again my lovelies so I have an exciting update to my Lavish Alice Wishlist! Unfortunately it is not that I have somehow miraculously come up with the money to purchase every item (although that would be heavenly). It is in fact a competition that all of you fellow bloggers can join! Simply email the incredibly lovely people at the LA press team requesting to be registered like it says on the stunningly pink flyer I have posted above!

Now the competition is simple create a Lavish Alice wishlist (which I have obviously already done and didn't want to redo as I'm sure that as much as we all love LA if I kept babbling on about my love you'd all get pretty bored, hence the update instead) with links back to the Lavish Alice web page. The lovely team will then pick 5 bloggers at random who will then be sent the same item (ahhh the excitement) to style up. Out of those 5 one extremely lucky lady (or gent i suppose) will be picked as the winner and receive a £50 voucher for the site! And get this not only does the winner get a voucher but all 4 runners up will get to keep their item! SCORE!!

I think it is safe to say that I am keeping everything crossable crossed for this one! Good luck everyone, let me know if you enter in the comments below as I would love to see your wishlists.

Black Velvet in That Little Boy's Smile

Hello you beauties

So I am finally back with a long awaited OOTD once more (hallelujah) a hard task I must admit when living out of a plastic Tesco bag of clothes your sisters picked out from your bedroom floor. If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram then you will know that I have been dog sitting for a few days at my mothers so I have been staying mostly make-up free and super casual. However today I have pulled out my make-up bag, brushed off the cobwebs and actually put a small amount of effort in my appearance.

Nestled in my extremely limited choice was my new velvet crop from Primark. Got to love a bit of velvet in Autumn in fact I am currently on a mission to apparently fill my wardrobe with it. So of course I just had to plan my outfit around this rather stunning burgundy baby. I decided to throw on my Skort and my checked shirt tied 90s style across my waist. The weather has been pretty spectacular in England today and let me tell you I regretted the double tight situation I had going on.

Velvet Crop- Primark (current)
Skort- eBay
Checked Shirt- Topshop (similar)
Studded Creepers- New Look (now in sale)
Pentagram Choker- Black Cat Jewellery
Sunglasses- eBay
Midi Rings- Topshop
Lipstick- Nivea Pure Diamond shade 66 Mauve Parure

So there it is ladies and gentleman today's ootd I'm sorry about the lack of images however (again if you follow me on Twitter you will know that)I've been having some trouble with the outfit photo's I took, you know what it's like the sun gets in your eyes, you forget to breathe in and instead stick out your stomach (attractive hey) and the mother of all problems...you stick your arms in the most lank and unflattering position for nearly all photos! That being said though I do hope you enjoyed this short and simple post, I should hopefully have a lot more ootd's coming up in the near future. Let me know how you would wear this velvet crop in the comments below I love hearing from you all.

Week in Instagram- Part 4

Hello my lovelies!

So it seems like it's that time again, time for me to plaster my (already too frequently plastered in your faces) Instagram pics (aka shameless selfie's) all over my lovely blog for the world to see. Well maybe not the world but you, my lovely friends. As a few of you have noticed these past few weeks have been pretty hectic and well let's face it 'odd', you know when you have those weeks were everything either goes totally right or completely and utterly wrong? I'm hoping this isn't just me, then I will know I'm just a miserable old fart!

Anyway it does mean that I have to throw myself at your feet once more and plead for mercy. I am terribly sorry my posts have not been as frequent, I promise this is something I am working on. I hate to think that I have let any of you down, I appreciate you all so much and to be honest (excuse the impending soppyness) it really does upset me if I can't get my posts up as often as I like for you guys however sometimes life just takes over and you have to flow with the tide.

Now I believe that is enough blabbering and well let's face it metaphors for one paragraph so let's start the Instagramathon!

  1. My most recent OOTD for a trip to the theatre featuring this stunning Fashion Union cut out dress that I won via Twitter (I am a lucky pigeon sometimes)and of course you've guessed it , my new ultimate fave fluffy cardigan from the Mecca that is Primark! P.S check out the giant earrings, I felt very Beyonce even if I did suspect a possible ear loss by the end of the evening.
  2. In a different city, in a different Theatre aka Manchester ( Oh how I miss it) to watch the tour of Wicked with my BFF Mike. We were a tad excited in the interval.
  3. Doing my make-up on the train. Spot any of your favourite's?
  4. Staying super casual in this Asos Jumper (I may have made a mistake on my Instagram saying this was from Topshop...oops) I stole from my sisters wardrobe (naughty) Primark Joni jean dupe's and my actual Topshop biker.
  5. Playing 'where's Auntie Vickie' in the car with my amazingly cute nephew.
  6. Going all AW punk in that days OOTD wearing my new Primark mesh jumper, Topshop Kristen Jeans and stunning A New Moda pendant.
  7. My eBay bardot crop arrived ready to be worn with this stunning vintage check/tartan midi skirt from Veuxdoo, can you believe I bagged this for a fiver! Tried something new with my hair adding random braids. Now who Love's my green lipstick aka the best present ever from my friends Ashleigh and Rose <3 It's Apocalips by Illamasqua.
  8. My September LFW inspired Glossybox arrived and it was stunning, completely blew my expectations out of the water!
  9. Loving my new House of Holland for Elegant Touch 'Heartbreaker' manicure. Cannot believe this picture got over 100 likes!
  10. Went to Lincoln and this happened! Oops (post will be on the blog soon).
  11. What I wore to Lincoln. Motel Rocks Daisy Print Maxi skirt (I lurveee it) Topshop crop and Primark fluffy cardigan.
  12. A few bargain beauty purchases I made recently. All £1 apart from the Hello Kitty Lipstick at £1.50, how cute though.
  13. What I wore to my first day at work, practically the same as an OOTD from a previous post. Must admit though I do not like this picture, I do not like it at all.
  14. Trying to create my own version of MAC 'Film Noir' as I am too poor. Using the Hello Kitty lipstick and Rimmel Vinyl Jelly lip pencil in Mocha.
  15. Another OOTD, wearing my Choies palm print crop, eBay ID choker and of course my Kristen jeans and Primark cardi.
  16. Finally busting out my Rihanna for River Island crop. Love it paired with a dark lip ( Kate Moss for Rimmel 04) and my favourite pentagram choker from Black Cat Jewellery.

So there you have it ladies and gentleman a few little snip its into my rather busy few weeks. I hope you enjoy these posts as I love making them. Let me know if you have a favourite look or item in the comments below and I should hopefully see you again tomorrow.

Have a lovely Weekend lovelies.

London Baby!- September Glossybox

Happy fashion week to all!

Hello again my lovelies (sounds a little creepy that, I'm ever so sorry)! That time has crept upon us once again again, a time that we all love (no I'm not talking about LFW) the time I rush down the stairs to receive my monthly present to myself..my Glossybox.

Now if your familiar with my blog then you will know that although it is indeed a very exciting time reviewing my Glossybox for you all, it is also a time that induces rather a lot of stress. I'm not the best with surprises, especially if I've set my sights on something that i could possibly receive, which let's face it I do often.  I am a nightmare at Christmas and have been known on the odd occasion to hyperventilate my way through the present opening. So you can imagine my reaction to opening my box. It's kind of a win, lose situation and it hasn't always gone well (I will never let the pout paint situation go, never I tell you). However Glossybox have redeemed themselves in my affections as of late and I was very much looking forward to receiving this months box.

What I received in my box:
  • Eylure Pre-glued Lashes
  • Toni&Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe Classic Shine & Gloss Serum
  • Elizabeth Arden Untold
  • Rimmel Stay Blushed Blusher
  • Be a Bombshell Cosmetics Onyx Eye Liner
*GB Mag

This months theme was London baby what with London Fashion Week looming and all (OK well it's here now). Which meant that the usual pink box had been hijacked by red, white and blue in the form of the union jack, very patriotic! LOVE IT! I will definitely be re-using this baby.

Inside this month there was a lovely, glossy copy of GB Mag, a lovely edition to this months box. Inside the magazine is filled with beauty and fashion related articles as well as a AW trend guide. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think this is going to be a regular occurrence from now on and I have to say I'm glad as I think it's a lovely little addition to the box.

Now I must admit I had a sneaky little peak at what was in other peoples boxes (naughty) so I kinda knew what to expect with several of these items. The first 'definite' item that I think everyone got in their box is a set of pre-glued eyelashes by Eylure. Now I don't tend to wear eyelashes that often however when I do nine times out of ten they are by Eylure (normally some variety of the Girls Aloud lashes if your interested) so they are definitely a brand I was happy to receive.

I am also extremely impressed with the whole no glue situation they now have going on as (as you will know if you've read my latest House of Holland nail review) I am a self proclaimed disaster when it comes to any form of glue. It's safe to say that I'm more than likely to end up attaching my hand to my nose or something along those lines. So yes, I am definitely excited to try these babies out.

They are (of course) a full size item and according to the card (very fancy once again) they retail for £5.06

Another definite item was the Toni&Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe Serum (bit of a mouthful). Now I am going to refer to said card and inform you all (rather intellectually) that 'The classic shine gloss serum controls frizz with lightweight shine and alignment and for a limited time only will come in Lulu's graphic interpretation of a classic design'. And right on Que this may be the time to inform you that the packaging has been designed by Lulu Kennedy for Toni&Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe (a full interview with Toni&Guy's Global Ambassador is included in GB Mag).

Basically its a rather funky packaged hair smoothing serum, always useful for my frizzy bleached mane! Now I did try this this morning and I really liked it, I mean I wasn't overly impressed or anything but it did do what it says on the packet and it does indeed look rather perdy. I mean isn't that all you can really ask of a product? Just me?

Again this is another full size product at £7.19 for 30ml.

Now can we all just take a moment to let out a big 'awwwwww' in unision for this stunning little bottle of Elizabeth Arden's new perfume 'Untold'. Normally I would be a bit well, blah at the sight of a perfume sample in my box however this is simply stunning! Say goodbye to those pesky (and let's face it ugly) little pumps full of enough product to make a nat smell good and make way for the glamorous mini perfume. Yep this baby came in it's own little box and replica bottle, it's as if someone took the average size product and zapped it with a shrink ray. The result, the most adorable little sample that wouldn't look out of place on any fashionista's dressing table.

Now once again I'm going to have to leave it up to the knowledgeable people at the Glossybox office to describe the scent as I'm not going to lie I'm not the best at describing a smell. Now it is described as 'a luxurious and modern floral fragrance, UNTOLD celebrates the sophistication and intrigue of the multi-faceted modern woman...(with a) sparkling and fruity introduction, radiant floral heart and mysterious addictive warmth captures femininity in a bottle as beautiful and multifaceted as woman herself.' Now all I can say on that subject is...yeah it smells nice! (ever the connoisseur)

Product is a 5ml sample, with the full 50ml setting you back a reasonable £48 or £69 for 100ml. Also if you take your card to the Elizabeth Arden contour at any Debenhams you can collect your very own 100ml UNTOLD body lotion with your personalised skincare consultation. (gutted I ever left Debenhams or Manchester for that matter)

Now this next product was the 'mystery item' so to speak, the one item that changed according to which box you happened to receive. During my snooping I was faced with two possibilities of what this product could be either a Dr. Lipp lip balm (blah) or a HD Brows duo blush/bronzer (ooh give me it, give me it now!). This as you can guess was the item I was most nervous about, I just knew that I would end up with the item I didn't want and all too quickly the 'pout paint dissapointment' flashbacks hit!

However in a rather amusing twist of fate I received neither of those two products instead receiving this Rimmel Stay Blushed Blusher. Funny story actually whilst shopping the other day I happened to swatch a different shade of this on the back on my hand in intrigue, liquid blush I pondered to myself, however 5 seconds later I exclaimed rather passionately to my friend 'eurgh it's disgusting'. To be honest the textures just felt wrong and laid against my skin it just looked like I had a rash. However saying that I received the shade 004 Sunkissed Cherry which I much prefer and actually used this morning. Whilst I must admit I still wasn't blown away I must also say that applies were it should actually be placed it does look ten times better and alot less rash like. (Kinda wanted the HD brows, but you've gotta laugh hey)

Again this is another full size product at 14ml(serious kudos to the Glossybox team this month)and retails for £4.49.

Last but not least we have what seems like a regular occurrence in my monthly box's...an eyeliner. Now I do enjoy receiving make-up, in fact that's why I joined however I must admit that I'm not much of an eyeliner wearer. However saying that if I was going to wear it I prefer a felt tip style applicator which is exactly what this product is. The product in question...Be a Bombshell Cosmetics Onyx Eye Liner.

Now I've never heard of Be A Bombshell Cosmetics before and given that the price is in dollars I'm guessing that's because it is an American brand. Now apparently this is their number one best-selling eyeliner and having used it this morning I can definitely see why. The marker pen style applicator is well tapered with a thin end meaning that you can easily vary the size of the line you wish to create. It is also extremely pigmented which is always a bonus.

You've guessed it, yep this is yet another full size product at 3g which retails for $14 or £8.82 to us Brits.

Well I think it's safe to say that with a total of 4 full size products and a rather stunning looking box this months Glossybox has excelled itself! Filled with everything a girl could need to create her perfect LFW look I'd definitely recommend this box, even if you just get this one! I can only hope that we have more of this to look forward to in the future.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know what your thoughts are of this months box in the comments below. Also, did you get a different product or have you created your own unboxing/review? Leave me your links and I will look forward to checking them out.

Nailed It! - House of Holland for Elegant Touch

Long time no see you lovely, lovely people!

So it certainly has been long time no see as I haven't written a post in quite a while (well it seems it to me) and for this I am very sorry. Unfortunately I've had an extremely hectic week and a very large case of bloggers block. However on a recent road trip to the wonderful city  of Lincoln (is it a city) with my friends Kate and Yas (honestly a little trip was just what I needed) I came face to face with a stand of the new House of Holland for Elegant Touch press on nails which I have been trying to hunt down since spotting them on Lily Melrose's fabulous blog!

Now, I'm not going to lie (as much as I think I did) I didn't need them and I certainly couldn't afford them, however I just had to have them. I think we all know the story! In a moment of sheer shopping adrenaline and let's face it the use of the 'hmm well I have to have them for the purpose of my blog' excuse I grabbed a pair and ran towards the till point.

Now the nails themselves cost £7.99 in Boots (which is where I bought mine, they are also available in Superdrug) a very reasonable price for a full set of 'designer' nails. They are available in a variety of AMAZING patterns from 'Classy Nude' to 'Geek Chic'. Me? Well being a pointy 'claw' nail addict as well as a (let's face it)  pessimist where affairs of the heart are concerned, well I of course went straight for the 'heartbreaker' set. (anybody else singing a bit of Mariah right now? Hell yeah!)

How cute is this box!

What's lurking inside?

All of the amazing designs!

So inside the cute little house shaped box (very Henry Holland)lies 24 nails in 10 sizes, nail glue, nail file and an instruction leaflet. Now as someone with insanely small alien hands I was very happy to see that I was not (hopefully) going to end up with all the nails being too big (a common occurrence). However when I went to put these bad boys on I did find a slight problem, the back of the box say's to 'wear the broken heart on your middle finger, so you can show your heart breaker what you think!' (seriously too cutehowever the set only includes 4 broken heart nails all insanely large in size which meant I had to wear them on my thumb. Not the end of the world but a tad annoying. Any body else have this problem?

Any way minor issues aside I put these on last night and they went on easily. I didn't end up glueing my mouth shut trying to take the lid off the glue like I normally do which is always a bonus. Also I went to babysit my nephew today, a test fit for the trials of any false nails and not one has moved out of place or pinged into anyone's eye. Hooray!

Of course with me only putting them on last night I can't give you much of a review more of a 'first impression' however I will of course either add to this post or create an update at the end of the ten days given as a guideline to how long they last.

And now onto the bit you've all been waiting for....the end result!

Tada!!! So I hope you enjoy the finished result, I know I certainly do. Hello claws! I also hope you enjoyed this post too after a rather long absence. I promise posts will go back to normal from now on. Let me know what you think in the comments below, would you try these nails, if so which ones would you chose?

Until next time :)
