Hmmm, so the answer to the question you are probably asking yourself right now is...erm noooo I haven't been spending a large amount of time internet browsing! OK, OK so maybe I have passed a few hours away flicking through the webpages of all my favourite stores. I'm a Fashion Blogger this is what we do! Am I right Ladies or am I right?

This is just a small fraction of the items I've decided my wardrobe needs to meet. And technically I am calling this a Winter wishlist as I believe all my actual Christmas presents have been purchased. So this may very well end up being a 'what I buy myself for Christmas' list. Well whatever we call it, it is magnificent!

So feel free to glance your beautiful eyes over it's full glory, while I go sit in a corner and cry at the lack of funds in my bank account.

Until next time guys.

Always the bridesmaid...

Personalized Bridesmaid Invitation- Etsy
Fur Shawl-  Forever New
Bridesmaids Dress- Weddington Way Dress Collection
Embroidered Sash-  Nicole Miller
Silver Bow Earrings- Tiffany & Co
Embroidered Shoes- Manolo Blahnik
Gathered Clutch Bag- Macy's

Why hello there my lovelies and welcome to a different sort of post for stonesgotstyle. It's almost Christmas and we are getting romantic in the building. Yes today is the day I officially do my first ever wedding themed fashion post all thanks to the lovely people at Weddington Way who for the month of December are very excitedly hosting their very own style challenge! The challenge? To become maid of honour for the day and co-ordinate the best, most fabulous bridesmaid's look.  Challenge accepted!

But first a little bit of information on the giant help that Weddington Way can be. You see it is a fabulous online company who take your preferences, the date of the wedding, the style you have in mind etc and suggest the best dresses for you. Whether that be for the bridesmaids or even the bridal dress itself. Plus not only can you choose the style but also the colour & have an exclusive fabric sample sent to your door to test out.

The dress I am styling today is from their latest showstopping collection and to me is just perfect for a chic winter wedding.  Now It's strange I'd never really thought of shades of grey for a wedding, I thought I was better leaving that in the bedroom (couldn't resist) however I am now a huge convert to the colour scheme.  Not only is it neutral for any bride wanting to be the center of attention on her big day but it also keeps the overall look of the wedding chic and classy.

I first decided on the bridesmaids wedding favour something they could wear on the day yet keep and cherish as a sign of your friendship. Of course the first place I look when it comes to weddings is Tiffany & co and these stunning little silver bow studs are perfect and not as pricey as you might think.  Next was the shoes and I must admit I cheated a little bit here and used the shoes I want to wear to my own wedding- yes that famous Carrie Bradshaw proposal Manolo! However I went for these stunning embroidered silver/grey pair to match the dress instead of the traditional blue.

The hair had to involve flowers as I think this is the chicest way to add a bit of nature to the look. And let's face it, this braided floral up do is stunning and would look beautiful on anyone.  I then added some subtle glitz and accessories including a stunning Nicole Miller gem encrusted sash to add some drama to the simple dress and of course a fur stole to ensure no one gets sued for having six bridesmaids with a cold after the wedding.

However I also wanted to add a little bit of that special sentimentality that comes with being a bridesmaid to your best friend or family. So I included these cute little customisable bridesmaid invitations from Etsy and a stunning photograph of what being a bridesmaid is all about. Supporting and helping your loved one to start there new adventure.

So there you have it guys, a slightly soppy, majorly sentimental wedding post. Let me know what you think to my look in the comments below and feel free to request more wedding/bridesmaid looks from me.

Until next time.

Bell of the Ball

Hello my beauties...

How I'd Style

Ribbed Funnel Neck Jumper- Forever 21
Paisley Bell Bottoms-  Rokolo via Asos
Structured Panama Hat-  PacSun
Selection of Silver Rings-  Regal Rose
Palm Bracelet-  River Island
Silver Feather Earrings-  Pieces
Witch Shop Iphone Case- Crimson Jewellery
Spiked Selma Bag- Michael Kors
Chunky Boots- Pretty Little Thing

Well as you know from my most recent post I have been all over this new bell bottom trend. However I know not everyone is 100% sold yet, so I thought I would style up my favourite pair to show how I might wear them, maybe you'll be persuaded and start fancying a pair yourself.

Personally I believe this trend to be super versatile,  Easily transitioned from day to night. Simply throw on a simple tee or jumper for daytime casual chic and then swap for a sexy crop or body for a night on the tiles.

So you think you might try this yourself? If so how would you style yours? Feel free to link me below to any ootd posts.

That's it for today ladies and gent's as this girl needs to get her poorly butt back to bed. Plenty of posts coming soon. Promise.

Till next time.

Trend Alert

Paisley Print Bell Bottoms -  Rokolo via Asos
Two Tone Bell Bottoms- PYLO
Velvet Bell Bottoms- PYLO
Floral Bell Bottoms- PYLO
Paisley Floral Bell Bottoms- Rokolo via Asos
Turqouise Bell Bottoms- Roupoli via Etsy
Purple Patterned Bell Bottoms- Roupoli via Etsy

Why hello my lovelies, as you may have noticed from the rather excited capitalized heading to this post today I want to share with you not only my new fashion love but also a huge upcoming trend- Bell bottoms.  Yes those cult bottoms from the 70's have returned and I personally am loving this new slender patterned revival.

I think this will be so flattering on most body types and are so versatile for all seasons, looking as good with a simple tee, cropped bralet and winter jumper. I have a feeling that the whole bohemian 70's trend is going to be hitting us hard soon and I personally cannot wait to take this new trend fully to heart.  Think celebrities like the Olsen twins, Sienna Miller and Abbey Lee Kershaw to see how to work the style to the max.

As of yet though not many companies are selling bell bottoms with Asos being the only English website I've seen so far selling them. However many american sites have already caught on to this trend with sites such as my personal new favorite PYLO (be sure to keep a look out for a wishlist post soon) and independent companies such as Roupoli on Etsy (another new fave). However I know that another of my favorite independent companies Ette Clothing are launching their own bell bottoms this Wednesday! (update the bell bottoms are now launched and on site- click here)

So what do you think of this new trend guys, will you be strutting your stuff in some 70's nostalgia soon or will you be putting this trend in room 101.

Until next time.

Winter is Coming

Hello all...

Photography by Alexander Anderson - https://www.flickr.com/photos/128280503@N06/

Lace Trim Jumper- Primark (current season)
Monochrome Fur Collar-Primark (current season)
Daisy Print Skirt- Motel Rocks  (now in sale)
Bag- H&M (old)
Peace Earrings-  Crimson Jewellery
Hair Crimper- Lee Stafford

I don't know about anybody else but I for sure know that personally I find this time of year so difficult to dress for! First off it's freezing, yet it's randomly sunny and as soon as you enter a building you go from freezing to dying from heat in your winter coat. Add on to that the fact that half your wardrobe is still new spring/summer clothes and the whole thing is just a nightmare.  So when I finally managed to layer up in a successful way I thought I would share with you all. Also I just got a new crimper so had finally done something with my hair. what you think?

I should probably explain that it is freezing in England ATM so I am wearing 2 pairs of tights and an extra top underneath this outfit. But that's the thing you can still wear those spring/summer favorites The secret to it all as I say every year is layering, layering is your savior! Say for example you bought a super cute sleeveless dress in the summer to winter sale (example A). Well be assured that you don't have to retire it to the back of the wardrobe just yet. You have several choices, put a long sleeve polo neck under or a fuzzy cardigan/jumper over and load up on those ever so popular Primark super cozy tights and walla your summer dress is now a fabulous winter outfit.  Now this can be done with all sorts of spring/summer time clothing and with a pop of autumn/winter coloring in your makeup the look is made even more wintertime chic.

So there we have it guys my simple solution to wintertime dressing. Feel free to link me to any of your outfits if you give this a try and let me know if you like the outfit in the comments below.

Eyeshadow- Accessorise palette Exposed

Santa's Coming!

Party time y'all...

So it is that time again, a time of great joy and even greater panic! Also known as Christmas! Now everybody knows that Christmas is the ULTIMATE party season, with work do's, friends parties, around a million pre Christmas dinners and of course the festive day itself. The big dilemma- What to wear? And if you're planning a party yourself- What's a theme that's original, fun, and not going to be used over and over again all month. Well recently I was contacted by the lovely people over at Quiz clothing with this exact dilemma.

So today I am here to lend a hand and after many hours brainstorming aka shouting random answers at my somewhat unamused boyfriend I think I've cracked it!

Now Quiz had 6 simple questions to help you become their ultimate party planner for the chance to not only choose their theme but also for one lucky winner £150 worth of clothing from their store, as well as dresses for a few runner ups. Here are my answers...wish me luck.

The Christmas theme I would have would be…

Now after thinking long and hard about this vital question I had a genius idea! I thought of my favourite Christmas movie...The Grinch and then thought walla! Why not have a Whoville themed party.  Complete with jolly Who decorations and costumes. We could even have a Grinch's lair where the Grinch hands out presents instead of Santa! And of course whovilicious themed cocktails. It's original and would be so much fun and so creative for all the blogger quests and party planners.

One thing every Christmas party needs is…

An awesomely cheesy Christmas party mix so everyone can let loose, get into the holiday spirit and dance like lunatics.

The Christmas song I’d put on repeat would be…

Given the theme probably 'You're a mean one Mr. Grinch' but if I had to choose anything else it would of course be 'Baby it's cold outside' by Cerys Matthews and Tom Jones.

The celebrity I would invite would be…

Why the Grinch himself Mr. Jim Carrey and maybe we could sneak in Cindy Lou Who too - Taylor Momsen and have The Pretty Reckless re-mix 'where are you Christmas?'

I would kiss….under the mistletoe

My wonderful boyfriend of course! But maybe The Grinch would get a sneaky little cheek kiss to get him in the Christmas spirit.

The dress I would wear at the Quizmas party would be…

Christmas Bow Headband- Claires
Skinny Red Belt- Dorothy Perkins
Glitter Playsuit- Quiz
Fur Trimmed Shawl- Quiz
Long Gloves-  Ebay
Striped Tights-  Wolford
Triangle Red Bag- Accessoryo
Feather Shoes- LaModa

Ok, so I cheated a bit and just had to go for this stunning velvet glitter playsuit by Quiz. To make it more festive and to add a touch of Who to the outfit I paired the playsuit with splashes or red, mainly with this eye catching  light up bow headband! Obviously this will look perfect with my who inspired giant braided do! Glam it up with a touch of fur, some kooky who style tights and walla I am one sing song away from Christmas!

Let me know your ideas in the comments below guys. Also feel free to enter the contest here: Contest I would love to hear your ideas!

Until next time..

Rose Rabbit Lie

Welcome ladies & gentleman...

Vintage Vegas

Tuxedo Jacket- Whistles
Sequin Bralet- Topshop
Lace Eye Mask- Agent Provocateur
Lipstick- OCC Lip Tar shade Black Dahlia
Embellished Clutch- Dolce & Gabbana
Tuxedo Trousers- Whistles
Perfume- Tom Ford Violet Orchid
Embellished Platforms- Kurt Geiger

Hello you beautiful guys and gals, and welcome to my post of vintage luxury. I was recently contacted by the remarkable people at The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas regarding a competition they were holding. The rules were simple- create the perfect vintage inspired outfit to wear to their exclusive premier social club ' Rose.Rabbit.Lie. They describe Rose.Rabbit.Lie as a social club which 'transports you from modern times to the roaring 20’s with its vintage art and shabby chic decor'. Clearly I was completely drawn in by the seductive glamour of it all and started to create that perfect outfit with glee.

However I also knew that as soon as people think the roaring 20's and grand parties they jump straight to luxuriously embellished flapper dresses and floor length evening gowns famous for that period. I on the other hand wanted to flip this iconic idea on it's head, do my own version of stonesgotstyle 20's with an edge. I wanted to focus on the sexuality and exclusivity of a high class social club. I imagined decadently strong cocktails, live brass bands and artistic cabaret entertainers.

Then it hit me! Why not wear a suit? Do it like a man! Be bold, be brave and be demanding. So like many rebellious 20's women before me I went on the search for the perfect female tuxedo. To add a pop of that 20's sparkle I added a mirrored bralet underneath from Topshop. But of course a girl simply cannot wear a tux without some killer heel, enter these jawdroppingly beautiful Kurt Geiger's which instantly add sex appeal and presence to the look.

The final touches, some soft vintage curls, dark berry lips, a stunning embellished clutch and a touch of dress up with a lace eye mask from Agent Provocateur!

So what do you think guys? The perfect outfit for a seductively vintage night out at Rose.Rabbit.Lie, Vegas's premier social club.

Until next time, mine's a gin martini.

Why hello my loves...

Fragrance- Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford
Ribbed Polo Top- Topshop
Pom Pom Earrings- Regal Rose
Lipstick in shade Bruised Plum - Tom Ford
Chain Shopper- La Moda
Luxury Pattern Trousers- Ricki Brazil
Stilettos- Jeffery Campbell via Lavish Alice

Confession, whilst I've been away from the world of blogging I may have acquired a few addictions, some old, some new. The new is my crazy, crazy obsession with the wonder that is Iggy Azalea! This includes not only her epic musical talents but her increasingly fantastic wardrobe choices too. So imagine the sheer joy when one of my old obsessions 'faux internet shopping' and my new Iggy obsession combined in one single click! Yes ladies and gentleman it was indeed heavenly, I am not afraid to say that I even put on a bit of Iggy and twerked (badly) with joy.

What's this cofuffle about Iggy, shopping and twerking I hear you shout? Well it all started with a click onto a new website (always a fun time) called Ricki Brazil. I had been contacted by the company and was eager to see their designs. Designs which have graced the fine derrieres of Khloe Kardashian, Christina Milian and Chanel West Coast. The company is all about 'bold women' and 'unique design' with a stunning collection of Iggy worthy bralets, trousers, skirts and dresses.

Now another old obsession of mine is indeed the Kardashians (sorry I'm not sorry) mainly focusing on Kourtney & Khloe (who remind me so much of me and my own sister. However I had never really classed their curve enhancing styles as something I could 'pull off'. However the fit and fashion of the Ricki Brazil items had me second guessing that opinion instantly and I literally cannot explain to you the incredible depths of my love for these statement trousers.

Let me know what you think of the brand and how you'd style your own kardashian Esq piece in the comments below.

Until next time.

My Fashion Inspiration: Abbey Lee Kershaw

To women whose fashion and beauty inspire me...

So I have decided to start a new series all about the women whose fashion sense, lifestyle and careers inspire me in my life. Today I am starting with possibly one of my biggest inspirations/girl crushes ever, aka Abbey Lee Kershaw. Abbey Lee rose to fame winning the Australian 2004 Girlfriend Model Search and has been gracing our catwalks, magazines and TV screens ever since.

However it was when Abbey ditched her Australian girl next door image, dying her hair platinum blonde and coming into her own Gothic/bohemian style that I really started to stop, stare and drool!

She is a model as hot and stylish off the catwalk as on it, never putting a fashion foot wrong and always believing in her own unique style. Weather she's rocking a red lip and fur jacket or layering long skirts with even longer jackets Abbey can never put a foot wrong as far as I am concerned, and always leaves me wishing I had her wardrobe.

Stay tunned for next weeks inspiration and let me know who you look to for style tips in the comments below.

Until next time...

In The Bleak Mid Winter

In The Bleak Mid-Winter

Black Classic Fedora- Topshop
Side Split Roll Neck Jumper- Missguided
Selection of Silver Rings- Regal Rose
Silver Skull Ring-  TheGreatFrogLondon
Silver Faux Septum Ring- LaModa
Lace Trim Shorts- Topshop
Cleated Platform Over Knee Boots- PrettyLittleThing
Matte Lipstick in Glastonberry- Charlotte Tilbury
Striped Tights- Escapades
Black Chain Bag- LaModa

Hello my lovelies, so yes once again I have popped up from the murky suburbs to bring you a little bit of (all black) winter outfit inspiration. I promise there will be a blog post/youtube video soon on why I have been away for so long. Thank you so much to all of you who have stuck by me. I am back for a while hopefully for good, you never know.

Today I just had to share with you all an outfit including three of my ultimate die for items of A/W (definitely heading on my Christmas list). Now I think like most of you guys and girls I have spent a rather dubious amount of time hunting the world for that perfect pair of winter boots. So when these cleated, over the knee babies popped up on my Facebook page I almost passed out with joy! They are everything a girl needs, cleated, not too high and oh so sexy! Instantly outfits galore started snapping into my head and I am not too ashamed to admit that after a sleepless night of fantasizing and outfit planning I just had to style these for you.

I decided to stick with my signature all black style (Hey it is winter after all) instead playing with textures and patterns. This stunning chunky knit from Missguided for example, perfectly slit at the sides to show just a glimpse of the sexy lace trim of the Topshop shorts. Now as everyone knows if you're not 5ft 9 and look as if you've just paraded of the catwalk, shorts and high rise boots can make your legs look a lot shorter then they are, adding a pair of patterned tights, especially with vertical stripes like these will not only lengthen your legs but also add some flair to a possibly bland outfit.

Then I of course had to go with a classic style handbag and fedora to add chicness to the overall look and then contrast this with lots of silver and black Gothic jewelry. I am loving these faux septum rings from La Moda!!! The perfect finishing touch- why one of Charlotte Tillbury's too die for matte lipsticks in shade Glastonberry a dark plummy red for winter.

So there you have it guys how I would style these stunning boots for a chilly winters day- of course I do live in the UK so I would definitely recommend a coat!

Let me know what you'll be wearing this winter in the comments below.

Until next time...

The Paradox- Pretty Little Thing Wishlist

Hello my lovelies!

The Paradox- Pretty Little Thing

Mesh Detail Dress
Multi Cloud Print Bralet
Multi Cloud Print Shorts
Cage Detail Mini Dress
Holographic Cleated Mules
Pink Cleated Boots

So once again I must apologies for the gap between my latest posts unfortunately I am still not fully back to my normal self. I promise I will post as often as I can (hopefully that will be a lot more frequent from now on) however unfortunately due to circumstances out of my control I can not promise to go back to my normal schedule. I hope you can all appreciate this and will stick by me during this somewhat dysfunctional time. I appreciate your support and love much more than I can say, and thank you to all of you who left me a birthday message either on Twitter or Instagram yesterday you make me smile!

Anyhow less of this soppy business (we all know how uncomfortable the soppiness makes me) and onto the mission in hand for today.  Again I am a little late on the bandwagon with this one however I just LOVE the collection so much that I had to share it's beauty with you all. I apologise for the instant purchase craze this may induce!

If you've been here for a while then you will know of my love for the website Pretty Little Thing. I have created many a wishlist/outfit post with them and I can honestly say hand on heart that this Spring/summer they are one of the main ones to watch in my humble opinion! Seriously they are killing it! And their latest offering has definitely not let me down.

You've probably seen this fabulous collection advertised on numerous street corners and TV channels in all it's gloriousness (totally a word).  That glory would be called Paradox- honestly any collection that instantly makes me think of Dr. Who is good in my book! Sci-Fi geekiness aside the Paradox collection is a beautiful collection of perfectly structured sports luxe styles in beautiful pastel shades. Think sports luxe meets night out chic! This collection is both laid back cool and incredible sexy.

To shop the full collection & for more information on the concept visit the full site here.

So my loves...what do you all think? Will you be rocking one of these beautiful structured mini dresses or are the relaxed mesh separates more your style

What I'd Wear to Amsterdam Fashion Week With FashionChick- Sports Luxe

Howdy Partner!

Summer Sports Luxe

Orange Lipstick - Mac Cremesheen + Pearl
**Censored Oversized Mesh Tee- ASHISH for Topshop
 Black Crop- Topshop
Silver & Black Statement Earrings- Kendra Scott
Black Leather Look Skirt- River Island
Rings (left to right)- Shop Dixi, Aha Life, Topman, Icing
Silver Mules- River Island
Kitty Shades- Nasty Gal
Orange Lunch Bag Clutch- Ladies Fashion Sense

Hello my lovelies, so again I am sorry it's been long time no see however I am back with a bang (aka a little competition) today which I hope you will all enjoy. Some of you may remember a styling post I did last year (again featuring all black...it's habit) for FashionChick showing what I would wear to Amsterdam Fashion Week. The prize? A chance to be flown to Amsterdam for two days jam packed with fashion surprises and goodies! Sounds perfect right, my thoughts exactly.

Now if you want to be in with a chance to win this trip of a lifetime you will have to be super speedy as today is the cut off day (well done Vic) however don't let that deter you as all you have to do is tell/show Fashion Chick what you would wear to Amsterdam Fashion Week and 'why all eyes will be on you during your Amsterdam Adventure'. Click this link for more information and good luck (open me).

So what would I wear? Well that is simple in true stonesgotstyle fashion I would wear black...and a lot of it. Now yes I hear your cries of but it's summer Vickie how about a bit of colour so I have answered your pleas with a well placed (if I do say so myself) pop of orange to complete the sports luxe vibe of this look.

Now as most of you may know ASHISH have just collaborated with Topshop to create a fierce spring/summer collection and as soon as my little pupils set eyes on the stunner that is this censored mesh tee I just knew that would be the piece I centred my outfit on. This is how sports luxe became the key trend within my look. I am loving the relaxed cut of the tee juxtaposed with the unexpectedness of the glittery censorship crosses. To keep with the sports luxe vibe I decided to go with this summers staple shoe (also the comfiest perfect for running from show to show) the mule in this metallic silver and to protect my modesty I decided on a extremely relaxed sports style crop, no one wants a nip slip with all those camera's around!

I did have to remind myself at this point that I was off to Amsterdam Fashion week and not to Tesco for some milk so out came this ultra chic and tough leather look A line skirt I've been seeing everyone in recently. Let's just all admire it's simple beauty. Accessorise with lots of chunky Gothic silver rings and some oh so stylish cat eye sunglasses for a rock and roll meet sports luxe lovechild clash and of course add a pop of colour (another big SS4 trend) with a simple orange clutch and matching oh so on style orange lip and bobs your uncle, fanny's your aunt and your look in almost...almost complete.

But of course you can't just have the perfect outfit, oh no you have to contemplate that morning, just got out of bed...I've been travelling mane! All of those slightly worrying elements considered I just had to go for THE classic sleek ponytail, you don't have to worry about your hair sticking in your face for those Fashion Week snaps and to me it just finishes off this sports luxe outfit perfectly. Simple throw on some statement earrings for intrigue and your ready to go.

I hope you all enjoyed this look, let me know what trends you've been loving this spring/summer in the comments below & don't forget too leave me a link if you decide to bust out a last minute entry!

The White Jean

Hello my little butternut squashes...

The White Mom Jean

Sequin Halter Crop- This is a Love Song
White Mom Jeans- Own The Runway
Purple Lipstick in shade Psychedelic- Etsy
Holographic Diamond Bag- Motel Rocks
Blue faux Leather Jacket- Zara
Holographic Cleated Mules- Daisy Street

Right guys, so let me just say that I am so sorry for the lateness of this post, if you follow me on Twitter (@stonesgotstyle)then you may have seen that unfortunately I've been having a few health issues that have prevented me from posting as regularly. I am really sorry about this fact as this is what I LOVE to do & I love to connect with you guys. Hopefully this should be sorted soon and I can get back to schedule (I know right as if I've ever had a schedule...let's just pretend shall we).
Admin aside, today I wanted to bring you another spring/summer styling post featuring an item I have a love/hate relationship with. However do any of you ever do this? Kinda hate an item, swear never to EVER wear it then get sweept along with the fashion blogging world into kinda needing it? No...just me then! Well that is a pretty accurate story of what has happened here. White jeans you see have always been (and apparently always will be) a summer wardrobe essential (those and white linen trousers which you will ACTUALLY legit never ever see me in). Now I've always had a thing about white jeans, they were OK on other people but for me it was always a bit of a dare I say it...tacky trend.

I dunno bare with me here, I mean come on I'm a girl that lives in all black and a leopard never changed it's spots (that easily). I also happen to be a serial spiller...also sorry to bring it up but erm hello periods! You know that no matter how much you plan sometimes those little buggers just come creeping up on you and erm white jeans?

However this year something amazing has happened what with the arrival of my all time favourite style of denim hitting the big time...mom jeans.  You see some how white mom jeans don't freak me out so much. Maybe it's the lose fit, maybe it's the synced in waist but the whole idea of a distressed white mom jean has suddenly become 'chic' to me and is literally all I can think about purchasing!

So to cut a long winded if not slightly disturbing story short, today I thought I would ease myself back into the blogging world with how I'd style white mom jeans the Marmite of the summer fashion world. p.s I happen to friggin love marmite!
Until Next Time
